City seeks bids for pedestrian signals on 25th Street

The Columbus Board of Works voted Tuesday to release a notice to bidders on a pedestrian signal improvement project.

“This is going to be adding pedestrian signals at four intersections along 25th Street,” said city engineer Andrew Beckort. “Home Avenue, Maple Street, Taylor Road and Marr Road.”

The additions will also include push buttons for pedestrians to use when crossing, he said.

According to the approved notice, bids will be opened at the board’s Oct. 10 meeting and must be submitted through the electronic bidding system, Ion Wave Technologies, which can be accessed at columbusin.ionwave.net.
