SEYMOUR — Although Jennings County saw its boys tennis season come to an end as a team Thursday with a 3-2 loss to Seymour in the Seymour Sectional semifinals, the Panthers did advance individuals in both the singles and doubles tournaments.
Parker Bales beat Joe Schmidt 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Ryan Schuck and Ty Zohrlaut topped Shun Takeuchi and Joel Stevens 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles for Jennings (3-15).
The Panthers Isaac Lightner fell to Parker Thompson 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles, and Rider Ruddick lost to Carter Stein 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Brady Sentz and Cole Skinner fell to Xavier DuBois and Drew Handloser 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
