Cougars top Pacers for sixth straight win

GREENSBURG — With standout running back Corbin Johnson sitting out with an injury, South Decatur coach Rodney Martin went to the air Friday night.

Jaylynn McMurray went 10 of 14 for 241 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cougars to their sixth consecutive win, a 27-7 football victory against Switzerland County.

Colby Rathburn caught four passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns, and Alex Myers had four catches for 70 yards for South Decatur (6-1). Owen Arreola ran for a touchdown and returned an interception 81 yards for a score.

Ian AmRhein led the Cougar defense with 11 tackles.
