More than 50 kittens and cats will be available for adoption at Columbus Animal Care Services’ Kitty Palooza on Saturday.
The adoption event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in the former Petals and Vine location inside NexusPark, department officials said. Attendees should use the entrance near Riviera Maya and Dunham’s.
All cats will have a reduced adoption fee of $40, which includes spaying or neutering, ensuring the cat is up to date on its shots, and microchipping prior to adoption. The shelter’s normal adoption fee for cats is $80.
Interested adopters who rent are encouraged to bring renter’s agreements or contracts indicating that they are allowed pets, if a landlord is unable to be reached for confirmation.
Animal Care Services also asks those who are likely to adopt to bring a cat carrier, as cardboard carriers may be limited. Personal pets are not permitted at the adoption event.
