MEDORA — Class A No. 5 Trinity Lutheran swept a pair of matches Saturday to capture the Medora Sectional title.
The Cougars rolled to a 25-8, 25-10, 25-8 win against Medora in the semifinals. Trinity then beat Rising Sun 25-12, 25-7, 25-18 in the final.
Addie Darlage led the Cougars (18-15) with a combined 50 assists and 12 aces in the two matches. Carson Bowling pounded 20 kills, Ava Blomenberg had five block assists and Laura Roeder notched 33 digs.
Also for Trinity, Madison Keith recorded 18 kills and 11 aces, and Blomenberg added 13 kills. Bowling had four block assists, Kiley Zabel tallied seven assists and 15 digs, Roeder added six assists and 10 aces and Sammie Brown contributed 18 digs.
