Carroll “David” Beatty, 74, of Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on September 20, 1949, in Madison, IN, the son of Carroll Lee and Naomi L. Tharp Beatty. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. He married Mona L. Gibson in North Vernon, IN.
David worked as an electrician at Cummins Engine in Columbus, IN, and retired as a Human Resource Manager in 2007. He was a past member of Lions Club and Bartholomew County Leadership Organization. David and Mona moved to Fond du Lac, WI where he attended First Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Mona Beatty of Fond du Lac, his son Kurt D. Beatty of Shelbyville, IN, his sisters: Rita (Mike) Jewell of Benton Harbor, MI and Lois (Allan) McCracken of Vienna, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
VISITATION: The family will greet friends and relatives from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 721 East Scott Street, Fond du Lac, WI.
SERVICE: Celebration of Life Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Witt officiating. Cremation has taken place.
