SHELBYVILLE — South Decatur led only 6-3 after one quarter, but outscored Southwestern (Shelby) 39-11 the rest of the way to post a 45-14 Mid-Hoosier Conference girls basketball victory on Saturday.
Makayla Somers led the Cougars (2-0, 1-0) with 12 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots. Kiley Best scored 10 points, and Paige McQueen added eight points
