Tuesday is the city election in Columbus, as city residents choose a mayor, clerk and council representatives

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Tuesday is the city election in Columbus, with more than 30,000 registered voters eligible to vote.

Only Columbus city residents who are registered to vote are eligible to vote in this election.

Offices on the ballot are Columbus mayor, city council races and the city clerk race.

According to the Indiana Voter Portal, voters must bring a government-issued photo ID when arriving at the vote center. That can be a BMV-issued ID, driver’s license or passport.

There are about 30,484 registered voters in the city of Columbus. In the 2019 general election, 7,306 out of 29,633 registered voters cast votes just under 25%.

Voting centers, which are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, are:

  • Flintwood Wesleyan Church, 5300 25th St., Columbus
  • St. John’s Masonic Lodge, 4131 Rocky Ford Road, Columbus
  • NexusPark, 2288 25th St., Columbus
  • Donner Center, 739 22nd St., Columbus
  • River of Living Water Christian Church, 51 N. Brooks St., Columbus
  • Bartholomew County Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St., Columbus
  • Terrace Lake Church, 4260 W. County Road 200S, Columbus
  • Westside Community Church, 124 Tipton Lakes Blvd., Columbus
