Veterans Day Breakfast — 9:15 a.m., Willow Leaves of Hope, 326 Jackson St., Hope. Veterans and guests are invited for free breakfast and fellowship following the Veterans Program at Hauser Jr. – Sr. High School Gym which starts at 8 a.m. Menu includes regular breakfast menu items, coffee and other beverages.

Storytime with local author — 10 to 10:45 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join local author Deepti Vijaykumar and learn about Diwali as she shares her newly-published book, “Fall Brings the Festival of Lights.” Storytime is recommmended for ages 3-9. Copies of the book will be available for purchase following the event.

Notary available at Hope Library — 2 to 3 p.m., Hope Branch Library, 635 Harrison St., Hope. Come to Hope Branch Library on Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m. to get items notarized by staff member notary Jennifer Pardue. Please bring photo ID. This is a Hope walk-in hour with no appointment required.

Teen Card Making Workshop — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Craft thoughtful thank you notes and cards with us and learn how to make fancy cards to convey all your thankfulness to the people in your life that you care about most. All materials will be provided and no card-making experience is necessary.

Pokemon Club: Battle Academy — 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Learn to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG). Attendees are encouraged to bring their own decks if they have them. Children and teens, 5 and older, are welcome to participate. Older siblings and adult caregivers are welcome to attend with young children. Registration is encouraged for planning purposes.

Granny Connection Concert — 7 p.m., Southside Elementary School, 1320 W. 200S, Columbus. Enjoy Celtic music and dance with the Laughing Jack Band (featuring Columbus’ own, Liz Bohall) and a group of dancers from the Irish Dancers of Indianapolis. Granny Connection fundraiser whose mission is to help support the first community based pediatric HIV program in Zambia, Africa. Doors will open at 6 p.m., raffle and concert at 7 p.m.
