Sandra S. “Sandi” Rawlings

COLUMBUS, INDIANA

Sandra S. “Sandi” Rawlings, 77, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 1:25 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Rawlings was born in Sullivan, Indiana, February 4, 1946, the third daughter born to the late Willard and Alice Perry Edmondson.

Mrs. Rawlings was a home health care assistant for Our Hospice of South Central Indiana for many years. Mrs. Rawlings’ interests included reading, spending time with friends, art, crafts and painting. Family was very important to her she and was most proud of her grandchildren. Mrs. Rawlings always enjoyed watching a Hallmark Christmas movie, an episode of Food Network or a game show.

Mrs. Rawlings’ life will be cherished by her sons, Todd Rawlings of Columbus, Jason (Heather) Rawlings of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Brian (Stephanie) Rawlings of Columbus; grandchildren, Kathryn (Andrew Crowder) Rawlings of Amelia Island, Florida, Kristen Rawlings of Columbus, Payton Rawlings of Indianapolis, Trevor Rawlings of Columbus, Claire Rawlings of Columbus and Nathan Rawlings of Columbus; sisters, Linda Turbeville of Mapleton, Iowa, Donna Northrop of Clay City, Indiana and Jan (Phil) Hallgarth of Anderson, Indiana; as well as step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Rawlings was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Randall S. Rawlings on November 12, 1995.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike; the Reverend Dennis W. Aud will officiate.

Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Rawlings may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 East 17th, Columbus, Indiana 47201, cards are also available at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rawlings will be laid to rest at the Ohio Chapel Cemetery.
