Bull Dogs overcome slow start to rout Southport

INDIANAPOLIS — Columbus North overcame a slow start Tuesday to post a 51-23 Conference Indiana girls basketball win at Southport.

The Bull Dogs (2-2, 1-0) fell behind 9-6 after one quarter before outscoring the Cardinals 14-2 in the second period to take control.

Hadassah Hurt scored a career-high 23 points to lead North. Miley McClellan scored eight, and Sydney Johnson added seven.
