COLUMBUS
Edith Lucille Shireman, 98, of Columbus, passed from this life at 3:55 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023, at The Belmont Health &Rehabilitation
Mrs. Shireman was born September 7, 1925, in Columbus, the daughter of Floyd and Florence Stillabower Goetz.
Lucille married Paul E. Shireman June 23, 1945; he preceded her in death April 4, 2013.
Survivors include her son, Maurice (Janet) Shireman of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Gayla Shireman of Columbus; grandchildren, Chari (Matt) Hayden, Adelaide (Mike) Wetzel, Laura (Joe) Green, Brett (Marin) Updike, Ross Shireman, Clint (Victoria) Shireman and Caroline Shireman and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Shireman and an infant sister, Pauline Goetz.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private graveside service Friday at Garland Brook Cemetery with John Hundley officiating.
