Bloomington-based Bender Lumber  Co., which has a location in Columbus, will offer a series of matching gifts that could double every dollar dropped into the Salvation Army Red Kettles in eight southern Indiana communities today and Saturday.

The company is matching dollar for dollar cash donations at all Red Kettles for the two days in Bloomington, Martinsville, Bedford, Paoli, Madison,  Columbus, Linton and Washington. More than 50 Red Kettles will be part of this special match, each displaying special signs so shoppers know their contribution could be doubled. Some of the locations include Walmart, Sam’s Club, Kroger, JC Penney, IGA stores, Hobby Lobby, Big Lots, Circle K and Save-A-Lot and other retail locations.

Between the eight match communities, local Salvation Army programs could see up to $23,100 in additional donations for use in 2024.
