Eagles top Crusaders for first win in almost two years

NASHVILLE — Brown County snapped a 43-game losing streak and gave Ronnie Lewis his first win as the Eagles head coach with an 81-68 boys basketball victory against Columbus Christian on Saturday.

Brown County (1-1) jumped out to a 52-28 halftime lead and were able to withstand a second-half surge from the Crusaders (2-2) to post its first win since Dec. 3, 2021.

Eli Wrightsman led the Eagles with 30 points. Cash Harden scored 12, Jesse Hubbard had 10 and Matt Horn added eight.

Josh Conrad led Columbus Christian with 23 points. Jayden Howe scored 13, Peyton Walden had 11 and Cam Pritchard added 10.
