JENNINGS COUNTY — The Jennings County Sheriff Office was sent to a domestic disturbance Monday night which evolved into a standoff involving a firearm.
Deputies said the incident involved a male suspect, identified as Roger Godsey, 58, of Commiskey, who allegedly assaulted a female caller, and brandished a firearm within the residence.
Upon arrival, deputies attempted to communicate with Godsey, using a loudspeaker ordering him out of the residence. Despite repeated orders, Roger remained inside, briefly standing at the threshold of the doorway several times and disregarding law enforcement commands.
