Host Warriors top North for third place

SCOTTSBURG — Columbus North girls basketball fell to Class 3A No. 7 Scottsburg 62-54 Thursday afternoon in the third-place game of Scottsburg’s Cheatham Classic.

The Bull Dogs (9-7) were within 33-31 at halftime, but the Warriors outscored them 13-5 in the third quarter, and that was the difference in the game.

Kaylie Harmon led North with 18 points. Miley McClellan scored 11, Avery Johnson had nine and Ava Wilson added eight.
