MISHAWAKA — Talon Jessup scored three first-period pins at 106 pounds Friday to advance to today’s semifinals and lead the Columbus East wrestlers in Mishawaka’s Al Smith Invitational.
Gage Rutan (126), Caleb Kirkpatrick (138), Nate Anderson (150), Lincoln Cooper (157) and Colin McMahon (190) lost only one match Friday and are still alive in the consolation brackets of their respective weight classes.,
The Olympians are in fourth place out of 30 teams with 108.5 points. Crown Point leads with 163, followed by Center Grove (151) and Cathedral (121).
