MOORESVILLE — Two Columbus East and one Jennings County wrestler advanced to the state finals with top-four finishes in the Mooresville Regional.
Jennings’ Sasha Hicks placed second at 115 pounds. East’s Eden Knight took third at 145, and Monica McMahon was fourth at 190.
The Olympians’ Taylor Engelking (115), Madison Mount (140) and Allison Pool (140) lost in the quarterfinals or “ticket round.” Tienica Ditz (100) fell in the first round.
Columbus North’s two wrestlers, Lilly Breedlove (130) and Reggie Holguin (140) each lost in the first round.
