Graham Rooks won the 149-pound weight class for the Indiana University on Tuesday at the 2024 Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Rooks, a sixth-year senior wrestler from Columbus East, won by sudden victory 4-1 over Chattanooga’s Cody Bond in the finals.
The Hoosiers will take the mat again on Friday when they travel to Rutgers in a Big Ten Conference dual matchup.
Barker helps Franklin to victory
Lauren Barker, a freshman from Columbus North, finished with nine points, two rebounds and three assists in Franklin’s 82-80 win over Rose-Hulman on Wednesday.

Nick Schiavello finished with seven points, six rebounds and five assists for Wheaton (Ill.) in a 67-64 loss to Augustana (Ill.) on Wednesday.

Schiavello, a senior from Columbus North, added nine points, six rebounds and three assists in a 79-69 win over North Park on Saturday. Teammate Ty Ferguson, a freshman from North, came off the bench to finish with 11 points, two rebounds and two assists in Saturday’s win.

Lawson helps Hanover to two wins
Kylah Lawson finished with six points, five rebounds and four blocks in Hanover’s 76-53 win over Anderson on Wednesday.
