The JNET investigation began in 2023 when investigators received information about the possible sale and distribution of illegal narcotics at 4520 Juniper Court, including the
possession of 27 grams of counterfeit oxycodone pills.

During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence, which was served Tuesday by the Columbus Police Department SWAT team, which is made up of officers from CPD and the sheriff’s department.

Sims was taken into custody at the residence while Brookover was taken into custody during a traffic stop a short distance away from the residence, Duke said. During the traffic stop, over 170 counterfeit oxycodone 30mg pills were located.

At the residence, another 130 additional counterfeit pills along with a digital scale and packaging material were seized. In total, the narcotics seized have a street value of over $4,500.
