Bartholomew County

Library Babies — 10 to 10:25 and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a baby-friendly introduction to storytime. Library Babies is geared toward children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. To register, call the children’s desk at 812-379-1288.

Columbus Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners — 3:30 p.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Tween Game Time — 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Stop by for some laid-back fun playing a collection of board, card, and dice games. Game selection may vary.

Teen Edgar Allan Poe Birthday Celebration — 3:30 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. On the Eve of Edgar Allan Poe’s birth, come to the library in your spookiest attire to honor the life of one of American history’s gothest dudes. Take your favorite Poe poems and spooky imagery and make a Goth collage. All supplies will be provided.

Furry Friends Food Bank — 4 to 5:30 p.m., Columbus Municipal Airport, 4770 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services will be handing out pet food from 4 to 5:30 p.m. (or until supplies last) in the parking lot in front of the plane, Charlie 119. Please stay in your vehicles and line up on the west side of the driveway for the food. The food, 4.5 pound bags of mixed brand cat food and 14.5 pound bags of dog food, will be brought to you in your vehicle. In the event of bad weather, we will not distribute in active thunder and lightning but will if simply raining.

Transformers — 6 to 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 719 Fifth St., Columbus. This group welcomes children and families who are grieving a loss. “What does adventure look like?” — 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., The Republic Building, 333 2nd St., Columbus. The Indiana University J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program presents an exhibition by Christopher Joy of abstract paintings and scupltures.
