Panthers top Olympians, clinch outright HHC title

NORTH VERNON — Class 4A No. 6 Jennings County girls basketball wrapped up an unbeaten season in the Hoosier Hills Conference with a 67-30 win against Columbus East on Thursday.

The Panthers jumped out to a 23-6 lead after one quarter and cruised from there.

Juliann Woodard and Alivia Elmore celebrated their senior night by leading Jennings (18-3, 6-0) with 21 and 16 points, respectively. Mollie Ernstes added 14.

Messiah Trapp led the Olympians (5-14, 2-4) with seven points.
