COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus firefighters were sent to Flambeau Inc. late Friday morning for a trash compactor fire. The business is located at 4325 Middle Road.
The fire was under control when firefighters arrived, but there was heavy smoke in the building, Columbus firefighters said. The fire department assisted with smoke removal.
Flambeau employees were evacuated during the incident and no injuries were reported.
