Jackson County Sheriff deputies arrest suspect accused of sexual assault of a 15-year-old

JACKSON COUNTY — Jackson County Sheriff deputies arrested a Freetown man on preliminary charges relating to a sexual assault of a 15-year-old Seymour teenager.

Deputies received the report of the sexual assault at 8:48 p.m. Sunday with the person reporting the incident saying it occurred in Freetown Sunday morning.

The initial investigation by deputies found that a 15-year-old male from Seymour had been sexual assaulted by Bradley A. Moore, 45, Freetown. Jackson County Sheriff deputies contacted detectives, and Detective J.L. McElfresh took over the investigation.
During the investigation, McElfresh, learned that Moore had requested and paid for a sexually explicit image from the 15-year-old on Saturday, investigators said.

McElfresh also learned that on Sunday morning, Moore fondled and raped the 15-year-old boy, investigators said.

On Monday, McElfresh conducted an interview with Moore and during that interview,
Bradley Moore admitted to the alleged crimes, investigators said.
Moore was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
1.) Promotion of Sexual Trafficking Level 3 Felony
2.) Attempted Rape Level 3 Felony
3.) Sexual Misconduct with a Minor Level 5 Felony

The investigation is still ongoing.
McElfresh was assisted by Jackson County Deputies Sam Maxwell and
Scott Ferguson, Detective/Sergeant Jesse Hutchinson, and the Indiana Department
of Child Services.
