INDIANAPOLIS — Gabbie Meier didn’t have one of her better days at Saturday’s Girls Swimming and Diving State Finals.
The Columbus East senior had the fifth-best regional score coming in, but was off on a few of her dives and did not make the cut to the top 20 after five dives. She finished 25th with 161.5 points.
Meier, who was making her fourth appearance at the state meet, had finished 16th and 14th the past two years.
On Friday, Columbus North sophomore Ainsley Sherlock finished 24th in the preliminaries of the 100-yard breaststroke, and Jennings County Avery Witt was 28th in the prelims of the 100 backstroke.
