Crimson Pride fall twice in West Virginia

DUNBAR, W.Va. — IU Columbus baseball dropped a pair of games in West Virginia on Friday, falling to IU South Bend 14-7 and Rio Grande 14-8.

Wyatt Sutton and Connor Beatty each went 2 for 2 in the opener for the Crimson Pride. Jared Ross went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, and Cyrus Robinson went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Nolan Kihn, the second of six IUC pitchers, took the loss.

Lucas Slager went 3 for 4 with four RBIs against Rio Grande. Sutton went 2 for 3, Ross went 2 for 4 with a triple and Robinson went 2 for 4. Starter Cam Richey took the defeat.

The Crimson Pride (3-9) will play the same two teams again today.
