GLASGOW, KENTUCKY
Robert Lee Hines, 87, of Glasgow, Kentucky and a former Columbus resident, passed away Friday February 23, 2024 at his residence. He was born October 3, 1936 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of Lemmie Rufus and Bessie Mae (Hudson) Hines. Robert was a lifelong Bartholomew County farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 27, 2024 in Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Boston officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Old Union Cemetery next to his wife, M. Dean Hines. Visitation will be from Noon until the service at the funeral home.
Robert was preceded in death by 5 brothers, James Ellis Hines, Rufus Bill Hines, Thomas Hines, Fred Hines and Floyd Eugene Hines and 4 sisters, Hazel Hines Hudson, Etta Faye Hines, Evelyn Hines Wright and Mae Cline. He is survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, including Michael Graham who has been his caretaker for the last several years.
