SEYMOUR — Seymour dropped only one game in the five matches in handing Columbus East a 5-0 defeat in the opening round of the Hoosier Hills Conference girls tennis tournament.
The Olympians’ Sara Moran fell to Ann Sunbury 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Emily Zhu lost to Elise Hartung at No. 2 singles, and Bruna Carriera fell to Claire Combs at No. 3 singles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
Also for East (0-14), Zoe White and Lillie Smith lost to Addison Hunsley and Kelsea Hunsley at No. 1 doubles, and Luci Morales and Saya Hauser fell to Tori Fee and Emma Woodard at No. 2 doubles, both by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
