ST. LEON — South Decatur finished eighth in Wednesday’s East Central girls track sectional, which had been postponed from Tuesday because of weather.
East Central slipped past Batesville 137 1/4 to 133 for the title. North Decatur edged South Decatur 27.75 to 27.5 for seventh.
The Cougars’ Madisyn Danforth won the long jump with a leap of 17 feet, 4 1/2 inches to advance to Tuesday’s Shelbyville Regional.
