2014

The Bartholomew County Humane Society waived most fees, except for an adoption charge, at the 100 in 1 Fabulous Feline Festival. For five hours, cats that had been spayed and neutered with up-to-date vaccines and microchips were ready for new homes.

1999

Richard Adrian, a Quinco Behavioral Health Systems bus driver, won the Indiana State Community Transportation Association of America’s 1999 Rodeo Competition. He placed first among 27 competitors representing municipal and specialized transportation services from Indiana communities.

1974

The 1 millionth diesel engine built at Cummins Engine Co. came off the line. The engine, an NTC 350 model, was the turbo-charged version of the six-cylinder In-line NH engine, the highest volume truck engine sold by Cummins.
