Thrive Alliance to host caregiver help sessions

Thrive Alliance will host six Powerful Tools for Caregivers sessions this month, which aim to give family caregivers tools they need to better care for those in their care and themselves.

The sessions will consist of interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming to help caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings, locate resources and make decisions. Each participant will receive a copy of “The Caregiver Helpbook.”

Sessions will be held every Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m., starting June 3 in the First Steps Training Room at the Doug Otto United Way Center, 1531 13th St., in Columbus. There will not be a session on July 4.

For more information and to register, call 812-372-6981 ext. 2403 by June 5.
