MITCHELL — Trinity Lutheran saw its baseball season come to an end Monday with a 5-3 loss to South Central in the Class A Mitchell Regional final.
Trailing 3-1 after five innings, he Cougars (15-12) scored twice in toe top of the sixth to tie the game. But the Rebels plated two in the bottom of the sixth and held on for the win.
Peyton Pollert went 2 for 3 with a double to record half of Trinity’s four hits. Jackson Trueblood threw an eight-hitter and allowed four earned runs.
