The Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer food donation competition will return to the Bartholomew County Fair, according to a press release from Farm Credit Mid-America.
Non-perishable food items can be brought to the Stock the Trailer donation location at the Bartholomew County Fair from June 21-29. There’s prize money for the top five fairs that raise the most food, with the grand prize being $10,000. The prize money supports local fair activities, such as conferences, technology, and funding more donation items.
“This initiative not only helps those in need within our communities but also fosters a sense of teamwork and giving back among our local junior fairs. We look forward to seeing the impact we can make together in 2024,” said Brent Ditmars, regional vice president for Farm Credit Mid-America.
The competition, held by Farm Credit Mid-America and sponsored by Rural 1st, is in its third year.
