Kroger will host a “Pack the Cruiser” food drive with the help of the Columbus Police Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kroger location at 3060 N. National Road.
Donations will be given to Love Chapel’s food pantry.
Requested donations include:
- Peanut butter (plastic jar)
- Jelly (plastic jar)
- Canned fruit & vegetables
- Cereal boxes
- Granola bars
- Applesauce & fruit cups
- Instant oatmeal
- Mac & cheese cups
- Canned tuna and chicken
Food banks and pantries say demand is up and donations are down, so public support is needed to help Love Chapel replenish the nutritious food on its pantry shelves. Love Chapel volunteers at Kroger will also accept cash donations at the site.
