Bartholomew County

County Commissioners — 10 a.m., Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St., Columbus.

Mondays Storytime — 10 to 10:30 a.m., Mill Race Park, 50 Carl Miske Drive, Columbus. Join library staff for a storytime geared towards ages 1-5, but all ages are welcome. The BCPL Express will be at each storytime for children to bring home a free book to keep. Meet at the amphitheater near the Fifth Street entrance to the park.

BCPL Express — 10:30 to 11 a.m., Mill Race Park, 50 Carl Miske Drive, Columbus. Join BCPL Express after storytime at the Amphitheater.

USDA Summer Food Service Program — Noon to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Food must be eaten on site and folks are not permitted to leave with the meals. Meals are free for children 18 years of age and under. Adults over the age of 18 may purchase a meal for $4.70.

Flow Yoga — Noon to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join us for a one-hour session with certified yoga instructor Sonia Aponte. This class will focus on a smooth, continuous flow of movements linked to the breath to help achieve a mind/body balance.

Teen Games — 2 to 4 p.m., Donner Park, 739 22nd St., Columbus. Play yard games from the Library of Things, or sit in the shade and play tabletop games. Meet at the Donner Park Shelter House.

Bartholomew County Public Library Board — 4 p.m., Hope Branch Library, 635 Harrison St., Hope.

Pokemon Club — 4 to 5 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Card collectors, trainers, gamers, and fans are all welcome to join as we learn and talk about all things Pokemon.

Alzheimer’s Support Group — 4:30 to 6 p.m., First Lutheran Church, 3600 25th St., Columbus. Welcome all those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or a related disorder. It is not appropriate for dementia patients. Please enter the church through the Fellowship Hall entrance at the east end of the parking lot.

Propeller Lego Club — 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Columbus Propeller, 4760 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus. Come join Propeller’s ever growing free Lego Club.

Family Storytime — 6 to 6:30 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 1 to 5 years and their families are invited to join us for Family Storytime. This program features fun stories, songs, rhymes, and movement while building early literacy skills.

A Haunted Evening — 6 to 7 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Local paranormal investigator, Matthew Jackson of the blog “Paraholics” will unveil the otherworldly mysteries hidden within the Cleo Rogers Memorial Library. After searching the library with paranormal technology and delving into the history of both the library and surrounding area, Matthew has put together a video that is sure to give you goosebumps. Stay after the presentation for a Q and A session.

Yoga on the Plaza — 6 to 7 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Join Jackie Garn of Saha Yoga Cooperative to mindfully move and reset your body and mind during this hour-long yoga practice. Use the power of breath and movement to find peace and calm within. All are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat or towel for practice. Yoga mats available for those without their own.

Columbus Viewfinders — 6:30 to 8 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Learn about different photography topics and share what you know. Our goal is to learn something new every month. Minimal annual dues involved after one to two meetings.
