Love Chapel’s booth at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair will host a BBQ dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in addition to being at the fair from Friday through June 29th.
Tickets for the BBQ dinner are on sale now online for $20 each, with a limited number being sold. The funds raised from the booth will support Love Chapel’s work in the community, and go toward funding assistance for people dealing with food insecurity and housing insecurity.
Volunteers for the Love Chapel Booth are still needed. Those interested in volunteering can visit the Love Chapel website, columbuslovechapel.com, and sign up there.
“I just think that we touch so many lives in the community,” said Kelly Daugherty, executive director of Love Chapel, on why people should consider volunteering.
The BBQ dinner is a new addition to the booth this year.
“We wanted to see how we could make it a bigger event,” said Daugherty. Love Chapel aims to raise more money this year than last year to support the food and housing assistance they provide for the community.
The meal that comes with the $20 ticket includes half slab BBQ ribs or pulled pork, potato salad or cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, dessert, and a drink.
