The following closings have been announced for Juneteenth, which is a federal holiday today.
- Bartholomew County offices and the courthouse are closed.
- Columbus City Hall is closed. All curbside collections will be on time, with no delays.
- The Columbus City Utilities office is closed and will reopen Thursday at 7 a.m. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
- The Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center, Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District offices, including the commercial cardboard route, will be closed. The Bartholomew County Landfill will be open normal hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, visit bcswmd.com.
- The U.S. Postal Service announced that all post office locations will be closed and there will be no mail delivered in observance of the holiday.
- The Republic offices will be open regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
