COLUMBUS
Edward G. Schrage, 87, of Columbus passed from this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Four Seasons Retirement Center.
Mr. Schrage was born on April 1, 1937, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of Edward Joseph and Adeline Catherine Zemlock Schrage. On July 6, 1963, he married Marilyn G. Henning.
Mr. Schrage earned his master’s degree in Seminary from Gordon Conwell in Hamilton, Massachusetts and proudly served in the United State Navy. Mr. Schrage spent much of his life serving our Lord in many different capacities and most recently he spoke to many people about the Lord through his prison ministry. During his time in ministry, he touched many people’s lives and helped many through difficult times to find a new path. He also had a tremendous love for reading and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marilyn G. Schrage of Columbus; children, Jill Schrage, Edward Schrage and Jennifer Towers; grandchildren, Avery Schrage, Aliza Schrage, Max Schrage, Andrew Towers, Ben Towers; and a sister, Karen Schrage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy Ladner; and a brother, Mike Schrage.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date.
