Rick Johnson, president and CEO of Johnson Ventures, was the keynote speaker at SPARK Columbus, an event where entrepreneurs, inventors and young professionals could network and exchange ideas.

1999

Columbus native Nevan Hooker took up an unusual summer job while on break from Milligan College in Tennessee: entertaining patrons at Texas Roadhouse as a magician. Hooker took up the hobby at age 7 and hoped to turn his magic into a career.

1974

Earl Hogan of Columbus was given the highest honor of the Future Farmers of America, the Honorary State Farmer Degree, at the group’s 45th annual Indiana convention in West Lafayette. Hogan received the honor for his efforts in working on two projects at the FFA training center in Trafalgar.
