LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY
Mr. Alex Trotter, 56, passed away on June 21, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on December 15, 1967 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Floyd Trotter and Alice (Richey) Trotter. A graduate of Columbus North High School, Class of 1988, Alex’s musical talents were nurtured during his time in the school marching, pep, and jazz bands. He enjoyed being a drummer for several alternative rock bands. Alex was an avid Star Wars fan. He had a special love for his canine companions- Boomer, LuLu Belle, Bear, Dixie Lou, and Barkley, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He specially picked out each of their names. On May 17, 2014, Alex married the love of his life Jana (Lilly) Trotter, who survives. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom Williams. Survivors include his loving wife of ten years, Jana Trotter of Lexington, Kentucky; brother, Jeff (Pat) Williams of Charleston, South Carolina; and sister, Teresa Williams. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made in Alex’s name to St. Judes Research Hospital.
