COLUMBUS FORMERLY OF SEYMOUR
Clifford E. Lucas Jr., 67, of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Seymour, passed from this life Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home.
Cliff was born in Jackson County, Indiana, May 15, 1957, the son of Clifford E. Lucas Sr. and Pearl L. Jeans Lucas. He was a member of the 1975 graduating class of Jennings County High School.
Cliff had a long career in machine maintenance working for various manufacturing companies in Columbus, Atlanta, Georgia and Baltimore Maryland.
Cliff was a huge NASCAR fan; his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon.
Cliff is survived by his mother, Pearl L. Lucas of Seymour; sons, Paul (Amie) Ellison of Terre Haute and Benjamin Ellison of North Vernon; grandchildren, Zoe Ellison, Chyenne Bowers, Taylor Ellison, Colby Ellison, Faith Ellison and Curtis Ellison; two great-granddaughters; brothers, Jeff (Eve) Lucas of Columbus and Rodney Lucas of Toledo, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Clifford E. Lucas Sr.; a sister, Cindy Lemieux; and sister-in-law, Susan Lucas.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
