Joseph Sweet, age 56, from Florida, died June 15, 2024. He had been sick for many years. He was born in Columbus, IN, in 1968 to Charles Sweet and Ruby (Vaughn) Sweet. He married the love of his life, Lisa England, and they were together for over 25 years. He joined the Army the day of his 17th birthday and graduated at the top of his field. He was an entrepreneur and dipped his hands into several different businesses, from being an insurance broker, selling furniture, and owning different restaurants. He was a very outgoing and passionate person, especially for his Father in Heaven and his Savior. This passion led him to take his wife and family to Florida and start an outreach/food pantry to help those in need. His biggest compassion was for the elderly and children. Survivors include his wife Lisa; his children Joshua (Nichole) Sweet, Amanda Bowden, Jeremiah Sweet, Abigail Sweet, and two step-daughters whom he loved as his own, Paige (Devin) Collins and Sidney Mason; his mother Ruby (Vaughn) Sweet; his siblings Steve Sweet, Larry Sweet, Tony Sweet (Tiffany), and Chris (Daphne) Sweet; his grandchildren Johanna and Parker Sweet, and Kendall and Case Collins. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Sweet, his step-son Logan Mason, his mother-in-law JoAnn England, his grandparents Willie and Etta Sweet and Oscar and Bessie Vaughn, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
