COLUMBUS
G. Louise Estell, 93, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, June 29 at Traditions of Columbus.
Louise was a wife, Mother, Mamaw and Great Mamaw. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of Estell Wholesale Company for twenty-five years. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church in Seymour and enjoyed activities at Emerson School (where her husband was Principal), preparing meals for church and gardening. She treasured her family.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus, Indiana. Pastor Larry Tingle of First Baptist Church in Seymour and Reverend Howard Boles of First United Methodist Church in Columbus, will officiate. Calling hours are 12:00 to 1:00pm Wednesday.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Emerson Elementary School or First Baptist Church in Seymour, Indiana.
Born in New Marion on June 13, 1931, Louise was the daughter of Emmett and Ada (Lafary) Siebein. She married William Arthur Estell on August 17, 1950, and he preceded her in death on October 29, 1988. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae (Joe, dec) Estell of New Marion and Faye (Jim, dec) Lewis of Vevay; one brother, Gene Siebein of Versailles, and her nephew, Gene Siebein. Also preceding her in death was granddaughter-in-law, Jackie (Kleine) Watts. Surviving are two sisters, Rita Jo (Johnny, dec) Sizemore of Holton and Kay (Lowell) Franklin of Holton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her devoted daughter, Sandy (Dave) Watts of Columbus; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Sean) Barrie of Washington, DC and Michael Watts (fiance, Lindsay) of Indianapolis, as well as great-grandsons, Connor and Beckett Barrie of Washington, DC.
