RIPLEY COUNTY — Indiana State Police arrested a Madison driver on reckless driving and other charges after he was stopped by a trooper from the Versailles Post.

Shortly before 6 a.m., the trooper spotted a 2011 black Ford Mustang traveling north on State Road 129 through Olean at a high rate of speed, and clocked the vehicle at more than 40 mph over the speed limit. Bastin stopped the vehicle on the highway near Wood Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Justin M. Mahoney, 34, Madison, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving, and also on charges of possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
