Bartholomew County under marginal risk for severe weather today

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County is under a marginal risk for severe weather today with severe storms most likely along and north of I-70.

Hot and humid conditions are expected Monday afternoon with high temperatures in the lower and middle 90s and dew point temperatures in the 70s producing heat index values as high as 105 degrees or slightly higher.

Cooling stations are open at Donner Center, Bartholomew County Library Main and Hope locations if needed.

Damaging straight line winds, brief torrential rainfall and isolated tornadoes are possible, according to Bartholomew County Emergency Management.
