COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management says a flood watch remains in effect from this morning through late tonight due to excessive rainfall.
Counties in central Indiana within the watch include Bartholomew, Decatur, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe, Jennings, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin and Sullivan.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional heavy rain is possible this afternoon which could lead to flash flooding.
