NINEVEH, INDIANA
Donna Jean Sczepaniak, 71, of Nineveh, Indiana, passed from this life at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Donna was born in Akron, Ohio, June 13, 1953, the loving daughter of Ellen Coopen Tucker and Arthur Flickinger.
Donna received an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She then started a long career as a registered nurse. She served at the Bartholomew County Hospital and then she retired from the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. After retirement, she returned to Columbus Regional Hospital to finish her career.
A lover of nature, Donna enjoyed walking, reading, and traveling; her favorite destination has always been Hawaii. Donna had a passion for running marathons. She completed 12 half marathons across several states from the age of 60 to 70.
Donna will be remembered by her two sons, Matt (Presha) Sczepaniak of Columbus and George Krompass of Columbus.
In keeping with Donna’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
