COLUMBUS
Flo Ann Boyd, 93, of Columbus went home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 12:35 a.m. at GreenTree at Westwood.
Mrs. Boyd was born February 11, 1931, in Columbus, the daughter of Harry and Mary Ahlbrand Abbett. On February 25, 1950, she married Charles E. Boyd.
She was a member of First Christian Church and worked many years for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation where she served in many different roles but mainly as an Administrative Assistant. She then went on to enjoy volunteering for Columbus Regional Hospital and Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Jayne) Boyd of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Justin Boyd of Indianapolis and Lauren (Neel) Boyd Jani of Biel, Switzerland; and one great grandson, Maverick Jani of Switzerland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Boyd on May 11, 1996.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Michael Hogg officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. till time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Garland Brook cemetery.
In memory of Mrs. Boyd memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
