‘Stuff the Bus’ bash planned

A rib-eating competition between Columbus police, firefighters and Columbus East High School football players will help collect school supplies for the local School Supply Assistance Program.

Texas Roadhouse, 2780 Merchant Mile, will host a free Stuff the Bus bash to collect school supplies for the program from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

There will be bounce houses, games, a sno cone truck and a rib eating contest featuring police and firefighters competing against the football players.

Every individual who donates school supplies at the event will have the chance to win a ride in a tethered hot air balloon and Texas Roadhouse is also having a drawing to win free steaks for a year.
