Bartholomew County

Family Service of Bartholomew County — 7 a.m., United Way Building, 1531 13th St., Columbus.

Toddler Time — 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. and 10 to 10:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. This relaxed program is a toddler-friendly introduction to storytime. Toddler time features books and activities geared toward children ages 18 months to 3 years old.

Columbus Board of Works — 10 a.m., City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.

Journey — 10 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m., The Landmark, 729 Washington St., Columbus. Turning Point is excited to offer an interactive, peer-to-peer support system created to guide teens through some of the difficulties of life. Free and open to all local youth. Preschool Storytime — 11 to 11:30 a.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Children ages 3-5 are invited to join us at the library for Preschool Storytime. These storytimes build the early literacy skills that promote school readiness through fun stories, songs, rhymes, and movement.

Human Services Board — Noon, Human Services of Bartholomew County, 4355 E. County Road 600N, Columbus.

USDA Summer Food Service Program — Noon to 1 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Food must be eaten on site and folks are not permitted to leave with the meals. Meals are free for children 18 years of age and under. Adults over the age of 18 may purchase a meal for $4.70.

Chair Yoga — 1 to 2 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. A one-hour session with a certified yoga and chair yoga instructor. These sessions are great for beginners and those who want to focus on gentle practice.

Teen DIY — 1 to 4 p.m., Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Paint one of our library bookends and leave your artist legacy on the Teen Area shelves forever. All supplies provided.

Author Talk — 2 to 3 p.m., online. In this exciting author conversation and Q&A, Elizabeth Acevedo will provide a short reading from her National Book Award winning and New York Times bestselling novel-in-verse, The Poet X serving as the backdrop to this amazing chat.

Beginning Again — 2 to 3:30 p.m., or 5:30 to 7 p.m., Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus. Beginning Again Group is for anyone who has lost a family member.
